"More than a Sigh"

The first More than a Sigh event was a huge success. It was so much fun and I hope to schedule more in the future! I have attached some photos from the evening...there were some beautiful women there.

Captivations Photography would like to introduce a new "Home Party" called "More than a Sigh" Portrait Party.

This is an opportunity for close friends to get together, have some drinks, have some food...and have tons of fun!

The guests, limited to 10, will enjoy a music filled slide show presentation of previous sessions to relax them and give them ideas. Assistance with hair and make-up is available, and each guest is encouraged to bring some favorite outfits, gowns, props, lingerie etc. Have fun with it! You can even share!

Order forms are available for that night. Orders are not due until you view your portraits on a private
"party" gallery, Or you can pre-pay for special discounts. Selected portraits, with your permission, can even be featured on Facebook!

Why are they called "More than a Sigh" ?....well the idea came from a quote

"A woman can say more in a sigh than a man can say in a sermon. ~Arnold Haultain.

My desire is for these portraits to say more than a sigh.....Because you are beautiful.

Senior Portrait season is in full swing. I have had the opportunity to meet many new faces from Stockbridge, Fayetteville Manlius, Camden and VVS! Please remember that most schools require your Yearbook Portrait during the first month of school, which, sorry to say, is right around the corner.

Seniors Class of 2010!

Senior Portrait season is definitly in full swing. I'm overly excited about the months to come. I am currently re-formatting my pricing schedule so that those looking for a small session will pay less than those looking for the "Holy Crap I have 4 clothing changes, three locations, and a dog" session. All session fees for Seniors will still include the yearbook photo submitted, by me, to the students school in the format required by the particular school. The session fees will run from $20.00 to $60.00 and will include between 25 - 75 proofs on the website. Proof prints are also now avialable to view at your convenience. A deposit will be required to remove them from the studio.

Hair and Make-up help will also be available with advance notice. If you are interested in full information, please send an email request to corri1015@roadrunner.com with your name and address and school. I will mail out information to you.

I recieved a phone call a few weeks ago from a wonderful young woman looking for a wedding photographer. Since I had already done her senior pictures in the past, and her sisters, I readily agreed. Her ceremony was to take place July 5th.....of this year......in 3 weeks. Not a problem!

I must say, the wedding was absolutly spectacular. The Bride was stunning, the location was beautiful. The planning and organizing went off without a hitch. Plus the fact it turned out to be such a beautiful day with the sun shining, which has been a rarity this summer.

I was so excited over every photo that was taken on the grounds, with the cars, with the children, in the barn. I'm looking forward to seeing these portraits as much as the couple.

I have been blessed with a wonderful family. Immediate and extended...five generations long :) Whenever I have the opportunity, I like to take photos of them, and hopefully capture something that they will treasure...my gift to them. These "sessions" are always done during a family visit of some sort.

The start of yet another era....

Yes, I am once again operating a studio in my home. I took some time off and it was wonderful! I finally got to settle in my new home, I have played plenty of golf, I have spent way to much time reconnecting with friends on Facebook! As I said, I have enjoyed my time.

As the season approaches, the "Senior Portrait" season, my email has been over flowing with requests to "please just take this one session". As location shoots are difficult with a dog and three children, I decided to use a section of my home to take portraits.

I look forward to meeting the Class of 2010, and the various families that I have scheduled so far. I hope to have a wonderful summer, and I hope you have the same.
